CEO & President - Jason E. Coy

Jason is a native of Maumee, Ohio (suburb of Toledo). He went to St. Patrick's of Heatherdowns for elementary learning and St. John's Jesuit for his High School education. He spent a couple of years at the University of Toledo before realizing his career in landscaping. On a visit to a friend at Ohio State, he visited Brown Hall, the college of Landscape Architecture. He was instantly moved by the projects displayed on the walls and knew that this is what he needed to be doing.

Because of commitments in Toledo, he spent a spring quarter of classes commuting to Ohio State from Toledo 3-4 days a week. This quarter was especially important because of the prerequisites needed along with a portfolio in order to be accepted by the department. Jason was accepted by the department of Landscape Architecture in July of 1993 where he took up residence in Columbus and graduated in June of 1996 with a Bachelors of Science in Landscape Architecture.

Jason soon found employment for a landscape firm in Chagrin Falls, DTR Associates. It was there being in a new city and somewhat homesick, that Jason decided that he must figure out a way to get back to Columbus, find employment and hopefully get into business for himself.

After a 2 year stint with Schmidt Nursery Company as a Designer/Estimator, Jason joined forces with Jason Halliwell to form the company LandOne, Inc. The uniqueness of this company allowed for the progressive growth of the business in a manner that balanced hands on construction with design/drafting responsibilities. After our decision to split our partnership in our third year of business, Jason formed a new company, Cascade Gardens, Inc.

Cascade Gardens has truly been the ultimate achievement to date so far. It is not a company that strives to be bigger and better; it has striven to stay small and dedicated to its customers. CGI has had crews, foremen, managers in its early stages in an effort to get the Cascade Gardens name out there. Quickly it involved into a 1 or 2 man show where Jason spends 90% of his time installing his designs. By being on-site with the customer, a consistent A+ grade of quality of work has been awarded by www.bbb.org

Jason is or has been involved in several professional organizations. He is a current member of the Ohio Nursery and Landscape Association ONLA and was a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects ASLA. He recently left the ASLA because it was not the direction that Cascade Gardens was taking him.

With 14 years of industry experience, Jason with can do anything. Whether it is a planting a tree for you or installing a complete Kroger landscape, there is nothing out of his realm. He can build you a sustainable deck, a jaw dropping patio, or even remodel your basement. Quality, consistency, and affordability are recurring themes in his business of Cascade Gardens, Inc.

The Cascade Gardens Promise Of Quality

CGI prides itself on quality workmanship at an affordable price. This is a very expensive industry to have successfully managed for over 10 years, which is why many landscapers simply don’t make it in this business. Sure you might get a good deal from these Yahoos, but in the end they probably won’t be around to back up their work.

I pride myself on my ability to keep this company small and manageable so no one is ever lost in the shuffle. I also stand behind my work. There is obviously a learning curve in this industry and I feel that Cascade Gardens is peaking in industry performance. I use state of the art equipment like the Toro Dingo which is specifically designed for the Landscape Construction Industry. I purchase used equipment whenever possible to keep my overhead low.

I am an Ohio Certified Nursery Technician, a certified Allan Block Installer and Reading Rock Paver Installer. I perform installations based on industry standards, and know how. Thank you for choosing CGI as your Landscape Professionals.
